My name is Lanell aka Rakus Quad. I was born on the Southside of Chicago on August 24, 1977. I started getting into trouble in my early teen while growing up in the heart of the GHETTO. I was in and out of the Ollie home from 15 to 16 years of age. I soon ended up in jail for something I really did not do for about 4 yrs but I won't dwell on that. My mom later moved to the Southside Suburb of Bolingbrook. When I got home it was a different world for me that I had to learn to deal with. Although the same type of people it was different in the way that I now live around different race. I had to somehow prove myself to some of the brothers’ cause at a young age you are always challenge. My goal was to become a rapper cause that all I did whilt locked up. So I started writing raps. My youngwr brother learned to make beatz on his own at the age of 12 and got really good at it, therefore I did not have to buy beats.
We started making lots of songs when I got in an unfortunate car accident around July 12, 2000 that slowed us down for about 3 years. I was not lucky like other to walk away from my accident. I ended uo in a wheel chair. I now have to live with the fact that I will no longer walk. I could have easily took that, but with that came other issues: I have no feeling from the chest down, I have a traitin my throat, I sometimes can not sit up straight without getting dizzy and wanting to pass out. I also have what they called autonomic disreflexia (I get bad headache that can lead to my death). I have lived with this situation for over 7 years. It is now time for me to get back to the business of writing and making song for the world to hear. It is kind of hard to live in this world and not be able to get the thing you need to survive. This is the typw of world we live in and the everyday things we have to live with. I believe in myself with the hope thai I may one day get some of the feeling back in my body, But for now I will live on, continue to do my music and strive for a better life with rehabilitation to look forward to.
NO PROBLEM
I still live for the LOVE OF THE MUSIC and want to become the next New Chicago Rapper regardless of my condition. I know that I have what it takes to show the world my talent.
