My Interests

I'm a Freelance Digital Video Editor aspiring to be a Filmmaker, Music-Video Director, Party Planner, Installation Artist, Anthropologist, Web Designer, Photographer, Puppeteer, African Dancer, Thai Dancer, Indian Cook, Sushi Chef, Seminole Indian, Costume Designer, Art Historian, Muse, Film Critic and Plant Guardian.

I am living happily ever after with my soulmate . Married six years, inlove, ten! Please listen to his song and let him know what you think on his music page . I am also a student of Jesus Christ, and, with Gods help, try to follow his example.

I like going to used book stores, antique stores, thrift stores, parks, grave yards, the castle, outdoor cafe's, Paris, Brooklyn, Ybor, Anna Maria, vegetable markets, plant nursery's, Pams house, Steve and Aldens house. I love to internet, read, lounge, repot, paint, eat with my fingers, dance crazily, go bare-foot, stare out windows, cut up paper, watch movies, cook exotic foods, spend time with my excentric husband and commune with my anthropomorphized darling cat children, Penelope and Geisha.

I'm rather fond of jellyfish, steak, cephalopods, cats domestic and wild, vegetables, Japanese Art, sea monsters, succulents, Kabuki, weddings, bats, foxes, Bollywood, faeries, dragon flies, Edward Gorey, gardinias, orange blossoms, Erte , expressionism, maps, globes, gothic cathedrals, old photos, foreign countries, gothic lolitas, fruits, cosplay and LARP.

I'd like to meet:

My father, Kate Bush and one day Jesus Christ. Also previously established friends floating around on myspace and some artsy, ecentric, sincere, thinking for themselves, independent people.

Humans are cowards in the face of happiness

For some reason, when I was about six, I bought a Lovin Spoonful Record at a yard sale. I have no idea what possesed me to do it but I listened to it constantly on my Fischer Price Record player, along with The Supremes, Disco Duck and Free To Be You and Me. Anyways, I'm glad I did.

summer in the city

Now I am 28.

Music:

This is the music I'm currently obsessing over:
Alphaville, The Rapture (old stuff mostly),Antony and the Johnsons, Yellow Dancer, The Dead Kennedy's, and of course the Great Kate....

Music I always love:
Radiohead, U2, David Bowie, Kings of Convenience, The Strokes, Interpol, Arcade Fire, Nina Hagen Joy Electric, Air, Billy Holiday, The White Stripes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Bravery, The Clash, The Coral, The Temptations, The Polyphonic Spree, The Platters, The Killers, The Psychedelic Furs, The Gorillaz, Milla, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Bjork, Coldplay, The Smiths, The Supremes,

Not only is this a charming New Wave 80's song with "Japan" in the title but its also a really interesting and well made music video with some brilliant and poignant lyrics.

Morrissey, A Band of Bees, Keene, Hot Hot Heat, Modest Mouse, Jeff Buckley, Dead Can Dance, Portishead, Three Dog Night, Lovin' Spoonful, The Cure, Ed Harcourt, Mortal, Waterboys, Jeff Johnson, Franz Ferdinand, Nick Cave, Nick Drake, Kings of Convenience, Belle & Sebastian and Bob Dylan.

Movies:

Movies that blow my mind:
Blade Runner, The Seventh Seal, Capote, Taxi Driver, Kill Bill, Moulin Rouge, Lord of the Rings.
Movies I love:
Hedwig and the Angry Inch, F.W. Murnau's Faust, Jane Eyre, Donnie Darko, Carnival of Souls, Bringing Out the Dead, Edward Scissor Hands, Amelie, The Royal Tenenbaums, Napoleon Dynamite, Monty Python's Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Brazil, Batman Begins, Chapaqua, The Passion of the Christ, The Seven Samurai, Yojimbo and Dr StrangeLove which is the only Stanley Kubrick movie I like because he's a really indulgent filmmaker and I generally hate all Felini movies. Does that annoy you? Lets talk about it.

Television:

kill your televison

BBC's, The Office, is amazingly written, painfully funny and one of the best shows ever! The American version has nothing on it!
I'm also a huge fan of Arrested Developement.

Books:

I'm a big fan of sci-fi, fantasy and classic fiction if you couldn't tell. I'm not into mysteries, horror or romance at all.
I have read and loved: Shogun! Watership Down, The Blue World, The Watchmen Graphic Novel, Le Portrait du Petite Cossette the Manga, The Wizard of EarthSea, Geisha by Liza Dalby, Tale of Murasaki, The Chronicles of Narnia, Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, The Great Divorce, The Screw Tape letters, Flannery O'Connors Short Stories, The Secret of Nimh, Starship Troopers, The Wheel of Time Series, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Hellstroms Hive, To Kill a Mocking Bird, White Noise, Les Miserables, The Count of Monte Christo, The Scarlet Pimpernel, War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and The Holy Bible.
Some books I started reading with excitement and eventually grew to dislike are Wicked, Portrait of a Lady, the 2nd, 3rd and fourth EarthSea books, Memoirs of a Geisha, Word for World is Forest, The Once and Future King and The House of Seven Gables.

Heroes:

Just one hero of heros. Jesus Christ
