Trina Harmon has always been known in music industry circles as a successful songwriter for Artists like Jessica Simpson, Amy Grant, Hillary Duff, SheDaisy and Jesse McCartney. But since 2005, Trina has expanded her gifts, and made quite a name for herself in the industry as ‘The Artist’s Coach’. Several well-known Artists, Producers, Songwriters, Managers, & Industry execs have enlisted Trina to help intuitively guide them thru their lives, whether it be professionally or personally.
“This business requires your whole life. We enter it, usually risking everything, and pray for success. But what many of us don’t realize is we must create within ourselves the capacity to HOLD that much success.”
It is at the peak of Trina’s own songwriting career, that she became acutely aware of the need for this kind of support for Artists and those who work with them.
“I was working with several artists, writers and producers who were in so much fear of what was expected of them, on top of the pressure they put on themselves, that they couldn’t be creative. So many, including myself, were suffering with things like depression, bulimia, anxiety or addiction, but it had to remain a secret. People were losing their marriages, their jobs, their passion and ultimately themselves. That is when I realized, something needed to change.”
It was in 2003 that Trina began studying with her own private coach, and began practicing the tools to have the life in the business that she actually wanted. “My coach told me on day one, ‘You do what I do, you just don’t know it yet.’ I had no idea what was to come.”
It was a natural progression for Trina to begin coaching friends and colleagues in the business. “I began healing myself, and I found by my healing, I was helping others all around me. People started offering me money for helping them through tough spots, or advising them on their upcoming projects and signings.” Before I knew it, I had another full time business! Soon, I began speaking all across the country at different schools and events and began coaching young artists and their parents, as well as actors and models, all pursuing a career in Entertainment. I believe one reason this coaching is so powerful for Artists, is because I live that life. There hasn’t been one client that’s come to me with something I haven’t experienced in my own journey. Abuse, addiction, success, failure, depression, fear, it’s all there.”
Today, Trina offers her unique services to anyone who finds their way to her. “I love that in one day I can coach a stay at home mom and a well-known Artist, and they are both struggling with the same issues! I am truly passionate about helping others discover their true selves and potential, so they can make the greatest impact in the world in whatever they are called to do.”
Several clients have described Trina as having a wisdom and a clarity that is beyond her years. Her intuitive gifts and insight combined with her life experiences make the perfect combination for growth and healing.
“I remember being 16 years old, writing songs on the piano for hours, and feeling like “I NEED to do this for the rest of my life.” Today, I get that same feeling when I’m coaching. There is something necessary about it. So I keep doing it.”
Trina lives in Malibu, CA, where she privately coaches in her home as well as over the phone, or she travels to the client if they’re working on a set or on tour.
