The Westerleys were drawn together in 1993 by a shared love of songwriting and harmony singing. Ever since, the joy of their performances has drawn a loyal following to their shows in their native San Francisco Bay Area, as well as across the country in towns like Austin, Boulder and Salt Lake City. When asked to describe their music, they offer "acoustic folk-pop."
The band is fronted by the singer-songwriter trio of Nancy Terzian, Doug Blumer and Peter Axtell. They have worked with Grammy-winning Nashville producer Bil VornDick and have opened shows for Pam Tillis and Hal Ketchum. They also performed with Peter Yarrow (Peter, Paul and Mary) at the Kerrville Music Festival. They showcased at the highly-esteemed Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and at the National Folk Alliance conference in Albuquerque, NM.
The Westerleys released their first album, "Live From the Pumpkin Patch" on cassette in 1994. In 1996 the banc released their first full-length CD entitled "Stumblin' to Gloryland" which was praised by Sing Out and Dirty Linen magazines. "A Blessing and a Curse" followed in 1998 and most recently the reunited trio released "Shoot the Moon", a collection of "hits" in 2006.
We hope you enjoy this heartfelt music.
