so, the deal is that i am a husband, a father of three, a social worker/therapist, a drummer, a bad singer, and a wanna-be writer.

interest in music is broad and varied, and depends largely on mood and what's happening in my life. currently, i am digging funkadelic, van halen, frank zappa, james brown, steely dan, the misfits, minor threat, dag nasty, dj logic, jurassic 5, material, bobby matos, fishbone, mongo, the police, mmw, msmw, boards of canada (thanks for uturpia for that one), jamiroquai, brand new heavies, groove collective, grant green, cal tjader, ken nordine, burning spear, tito puente, beastie boys, charlie hunter, herbie hancock, iron maiden, zep, jimi, public enemy, de la soul, tribe called quest, digable planets, mos def, elvis costello, martin denny, kiss, the who, the rolling stones, the beatles, ozzy and sabbath, rem, cream, the cult, jane's addiction, and some other stuff that i'll add here later.

love to read, but don't get enough time any more. authors i dig right now: palahniuk, boyle, chabon, heller, conrad, vonnegut, hemingway, roy, more to come....

comics -- love 'em, can't afford 'em any more. big fan of the golden and silver ages, when superheroes made sense. love that stuff. cheezy and simple. have no idea what's happening any more. oh, and i'm probably more of a dc guy, for what it's worth.

i kind of like this new layout. i got it from createblog. still would like to make one myself, but it's all about time.
