Seven Miles Walking

Jonathan Nease, Chris Hodge, Matt Royal and Lee Goff make up the Christian power-pop.rock band Seven Miles Walking. Hailing from the small southern town of Waycross Georgia, Seven Miles Walking started in 2003 when Jonathan, Matt, Chris and Jeremy began playing music in their youth room at church. In the early stages of the band, they put out 3 locally recorded albums before their first real recording, “File This Album Under EP”. Since then, Seven Miles Walking has shared the stage with CCM acts such as: Smalltown Poets, Showbread, Steven Curtis Chapman, Hawk Nelson, Jeremy Camp, Mercy Me, Kids in the Way, and Sanctus Real. Their real breakthrough came when they won the Tom Jackson Conference “All Roads Lead to the Stage” competition in Spring 2006 earning the opportunity to play several dates on the Winter Jam Tour, hosted by New Song. After a busy summer tour schedule of coast-to-coast performances, Seven Miles Walking headed into the studio with producer Matt Goldman (Anberlin, Copeland, Underoath, Cartel) to record their first full-length album. Shortly after the recording of the album, Jeremy decided to leave the band in pursuit of other interests. His replacement was longtime friend of the band Lee Goff. With catchy guitar riffs, driving rhythm and inspirational lyrics, Seven Miles Walking captivate the hearts of listeners across the United States. With a powerful, energetic show to impress anyone in attendance, Seven Miles Walking deliver an “up-close and personal” testimony through their performances whether they’re playing for 10, or 10,000 people. Seven Miles Walking hope to reach Christian and non-Christian audiences with a message of faith, hope and love. It is their fundamental belief and foundation to deny themselves and glorify the kingdom of God on and off of the stage, often going to great lengths to reach people on a personal level.
