Tlingits In The Mist

Behold the unwary Tlingit in his natural habitat.

About Me

What to write in so small a space? Well, I am a Tlingit of southeastern Alaska. Tlingit, linguistically; is a part of the Athabascan language group as is Navajo and Apache....oh yes, so does Athabascan.------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------I'm a very simple guy liking the language and culture of my people but also loving to meet others of various cultures and backgrounds.------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------My Tlingit name is Yóokis’kookéik which means "He Who Controlled The Tides".----------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------Well, that's about it for now. I'm stuck so write if you so desire. Friends are a wonderful thing to have.

My Interests

Okay. I love the study of foreign languages. If it has to do with a foreign language of any nature, chances are you'll have my attention right on the spot.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Well, I don't claim to have the best taste in music. You could beat a spoon on a pot and keep me entertained. lol. As long as it's not rap I'm okay with it for the most part or it better be REALLY good.

Movies:

I like many movies for different reasons. I can't list them all here so I won't.Here's a short clip about MARVIN!!! (Thanks Matt!)

Television:

Heroes. I like this program. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out. If you're missing out, chances are you have different tastes in tv or have other things to do. That's kosher.A sealion in our harbor

Books:

This one could be long so I won't right now.

Heroes:

Our Military. I pray they can come home. They need our support, our prayers. I'm not about our politicians as they seem to need little support or comfort...........
