Youth Positive I'm from Harlem born and raised, I live in the burbs (18 years) now. Roosevelt, Long Island. Happily married with children. My passion is DJing, My family and working with people. I am better known in the music biz as DJ Jazzy G. (The Original Scratch Master). And in the Hip-hop world as The Hip-hop historian. (And I wear that title proudly). Back in the days I've made my bones in some of the top clubs, retail record shops, radio stations and indie record company's in New York City (Harlem World, The Rooftop,Downtown & Downstairs Records,107.5 WBLS-fm, Select Records) just to name a few. I also produced one of the hottest underground Hip-hop jams of 1988, ("Holy War" by Divine Force). I also produced and Remixed many underground club hits like "If there's a cure" by Jeepstyle (My own band). As a Club and concert promoter, I've help give a lot of up and coming rappers & singers take their god giving talent to the stage, like LL Cool J, Salt n Peppa, KRS 1 (BDP), Rob Base, Doug E. Fresh, New Edition, Omar Chandler, The Force MD's and many, many others. Working as a life coach for the past 10 years, I'm happy that my life is still in a positive direction. Now, that I am President of my kids Elementary School PTA and Basketball Coach. Yes, I said PTA... And yes, I feel blessed that I can give back to My Community and love true Hip-hop at the same time. I am also proud that I've played a key role in helping some of hip-hop's biggest artist "get they foot in the door". I look at myself as a tug boat (a Hip-hop tug boat ). Tug boats are small, but powerful and always pull the big ships to where they have to go. People never talk about tug boats, but always talk about big ships. And even through I'm not talked about much in the Hip-hop stories, I know I've played a big part in Hip-hop music and Culture. From Harlem World to around the world. And it's all good.
