Influences: Hyflo is P. Jay and Chuck Skeet, two hip hop emcees from the dirt roads of Raeford, North Carolina. Hooking up in 1994, while in Jr. high and living in the same mobile home park, the two formed an instant a tag team. With Chuck defensive captain of the football team and P. Jay shutting down all battle raps in school, they were always young stars but some couldn't see it. By the year of 1999 Chuck quit football and P. Jay quit school.Joining R.S.P.(Revolutionary Souljah Platoon), a hip hop family, they really started to pursue their career. RSP started with seven emcees but has grown since 1998. Now from 2000-2003 in the studio everyday and doing shows from Fayetteville to Atlanta. Opening up and preforming with Nate Dogg, Paster Troy, Craig Mack, MOS, St. Lunatics to Now City they were living their dreams but not getting paid.With new MCz joining the platoon RSP broke the family into five rap groups for many reasons. P. Jay and Chuck did most of their work together anyways formed the first group called Hyflo. They hit the studio hard in 2004. Recording their first two Hyflo songs, Work so Hard and Coldnites, at Sound on Sound with Greg Miller in Laurinburg, NC.
Sounds Like: In late 2004 Hyflo signed with an independent lable called Bail Bond Records. 2005, With in house produce Charles Howard on the beats hits began to be made. Still recording to tracks produced by Cyfa (RSP), Black Dust (NCF), and Steve Fader (House Arrest) Hyflo found their own style. well its 2008 now and were still at it! Chuck Skeet Solo album should be finished by summer and another HyFlo will be started at the end of the year!!!
