My name is Laura. I am a Sophomore at Iowa State University. I rarely ever come on here anymore.I am an extremely opinionated person when it comes to political issues and am always up for a debate. Actually...I'm a very opinionated person in general. Expect me to tell it like it is...I don't sugar coat things often. In my life, there have been very good times, but extremely painful times as well…but the pain I have experienced has made me a stronger person, and allows me to experience happiness to its fullest extent. Music is my passion. I sing whenever and wherever possible. It is one of my favorite things in the world to do and I love it…nothing makes me happier. I play piano and have been for the past 13 years. I also play harp. I draw and also write poetry, short stories, songs, and whatever else comes off the end of my pen. Figure skating is the best sport in the world :-) Nothing beats the rush of feeling as if you’re flying while gliding across the ice, or spinning so fast you could almost swear the world was spinning with you. I love being outdoors. Going to parks, watching sunsets, and taking pictures of both are basically my pastime during the summer. My friends mean everything to me…without them and their support, I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am today. Don’t judge me by first impressions…chances are you will probably be wrong. I detest close minded people, liars, and pre-conceived notions. I am a huge photography junkie and take my camera everywhere. I also am engaged to the most wonderful man :-) He is in Iraq and I miss him, but can't wait for him to come home so we can start our lives together. If you want to know more, feel free to ask.
