About Me

Samuel Alan Fleming is a true man of many guises. Coming from the low country of North Carolina, he grew up in a good home. His ancestory is one of great interest being that his Mother is a majority Native American and his Father came from the Appalachian Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. He has two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and an almost 9 month old niece. Not to mention many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well. In his near 18 years, he has lived in numerous cities around the United States of America including Denver, Colorado. "Many people ask me which place I liked living in most, but I have to tell them that every place has its pros and cons." Samuel has many interests including music and performing in theatre productions. "I believe that I got my love for music by way of my Grandpa Fleming. He really was a musical genius for his time and place. As of now, I know for a fact that he wrote and composed two songs, one of which was a love song to my Grandma Fleming." When he (Samuel) was living in the Denver area, he attended Calvary Baptist Church. "Every Sunday morning, I loved to see Carlos, the pianist play the songs on that ebony grand piano. I believe that is also where I got some inspiration to play the piano because I would move my fingers on the pew in front of me like I was playing the piano with Carlos." That church was also where he started his choral singing career. As the years went by from 1996 and proceeded to 1999, he loved going to music classes offered in the public school systems. In 1999, Grandpa Fleming passed onto his eternal life. "Looking back, my grandparents passed away at interesting times. Grandma went to her eternal rest a day before my 5th or 6th birthday. Grandpa passed away one week before my older brother's birthday. I don't say this to evoke pity from the readers, but I think it was fitting because Grandma loved that I had blue eyes like her and Grandpa and Jake had good times too!" To make a long story short, Samuel inherited Grandpa's old converted player piano. "That piano sure did have a funny story." Later in that year, the church he was attending had started up a music school. His mother had enrolled him into piano and Samuel was pretty excited. His first piano teacher was Ms. Kara Washington. She was the one who began his formal music tutelage. In the school year of 2001-2002, Samuel went into the middle school choir at Brandon Middle School under the direction of Mrs. Pam Cooper. "She was well educated when it came to choral direction. She made it fun too, because it was show choir as well as perfromance choir. I had gotten my first solo in one of our show choir routines that was about the 50's. My song was 'Since I Don't Have You'. I really did have fun with that." After he moved to Illinois, the piano lessons stopped becasue him and his parents didn't know how to find a good teacher until 2004 when he was being taught by Mrs. Jan Bono. He is still under her teaching. Not only does he play piano and sing, but he played French horn for three years, and bells for one semester. In addition to his piano studies, he has recently taken up violin and is teaching himself recorder. As stated before, he does take part in stage productions. Beginning in the elementary schools, he had minor narrations. Then in the fourth grade, he took on small roles in children's church choir productions. His favourite was as Missionary Kid: Ukraine, Logan Ledbedder in 'The MK Christmas Special with Daisy O'Day'. In the past three years, you may have seen him in dinner theater productions hosted by Towerview Baptist Church. The first was as Phil T. Lucre in 'Almost Sidetracked'. His second role was as Dr. Reggie Reynolds in 'This Could Be Murder'. He is currently in the pre-production state of the next dinner theater which is to be held sometime in the near future. Samuel had to endure many hardships in his liftime, the most noteworthy was his tragic accident in Monroe, Wisconsin. While on mission, he fell eight feet from a zip line, shattering both bones in his left leg, and fracturing his right arm. The result was three surgeries and pins in his leg to set it straight. "Those were really hard times, not only physically but mentally. Things in the family were a little bit rocky which I won't delve into(nothing bad though), and it didn't help that I was most of the time hopped up on drugs." All in all though, his life has been successful and very interesting. At the moment he has completed his high school diploma from Berean Christian School and is currently employed at Kassly Mortuary and Macy's-St. Clair. "In the eighth grade, I had to write an autobiography and I titled mine, 'It's My Wonderful Life'. I like to think that I really did live upto that title." Mr. Fleming would like to take these last words to say that if you have any questions, feel free to ask him anytime. "Be the Best You that You can be!" ~S. A. Fleming

I'd like to meet:

Well, I was never one who wanted to meet celebs. I just want to live like them and attend the award shows and parties with them. BUT, if I am asked to meet someone, I will. As for unfamous people, I want to meet people with the following names: Betty, Broomhilda, Felix, Hepsibah, and Trident. I'm sure there are other people that I would want to meet. In simpler words, anyone that IS famous but not on their way to fame. And for a warning. No redheads WITH frekles!!!!(gross)
