About Me

So this is my life story doing it the Vegas way!
Welcome to Las Vegas, the Sin City capital of the world, a hidden gesture of a fantasy land, and the man at the centre of it all The UKs very own, Marc Jay.
Marc Jay defines the new blood of Las Vegas, re-shaping the town to attract a younger, more elite crowd from within the States and on an international level.
If you come to Las Vegas, this is the man you call. Marc Jay is the IT Man of the town with contacts everywhere he turns and a whole lot of respect for the 29-year-old high flyer that has come so far.
Jewish born, Marc Jay grew up in the little seaside town of Brighton, his dreams back then of becoming a chef and opening his own restaurant began at 11 years old when he started work at his fathers restaurant/bar as an assistant chef. By the age of 16 he was working in his fathers bar arranging theme nights and working with dancers.
Marc was then given the opportunity to bring the dancers from his fathers bar to London for a show called Dance Energy on BBC 2, he brought 50 dancers from Brighton to London and once the show was over he was asked to come back in two weeks and do it again. After the two weeks were up Marc had managed to secure a job as a runner with Dance Energy making tea and doing errands.
Once the series had ended, Marc found himself jobless and made a batch of business cards in the local train station to hand out to passers-by. He then turned his bedroom into an office with a couple of his friends from school and began his own company.
Marc had begun to see his vision, a vision that in the end would take him further than he himself could imagine - A company which he named Power House Media.
This company was his dream of working within the film and television industry, hoping to create something different, something special. His first job was for a show called The Word who wanted Marc to bring two hundred dancers to London. Following this Marc moved to Central London and set-up Power House Media in a tiny office space. Jobs were coming in fast, one of which was The Pepsi Chart Show, and it was there that Marc met Joseph Abdula, an NFL Football player who played for the Devour Broncos.
Joseph later introduced Marc to Billy Richardson Jnr, an entrepreneur in Las Vegas with the resources of a multi-million dollar corporation behind him. Billy took to Marc and decided to have him work as the International Publicist for RA Nightclub, one of Richardsons many establishments. Thus, Marc began a mission to redesign the Las Vegas music scene.
Over the next three years Marc, along with Richardson and his Music Director at Ra, Duane King, introduced Las Vegas club culture to international super star DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, Boy George, Pete Tong & Judge Jules. This in turn introduced Las Vegas to the world as a fast rising new international club destination.
Marc Jay has been dubbed by the UK press as being one of the people responsible for making Las Vegas the next Ibiza and his success has reached such dizzy heights that UK broadcaster, Sky One, invested $1.4 million dollars in making a six-part documentary on Las Vegas (Las Vegas Uncovered) with Marc Jay as its focus point.
Marc Jay now works between London and Las Vegas, his Film & Television company, Power House Media has been ongoing for 15 years and has been the centre fold of 100's of high profile television work, while also working closely with artists and agents throughout the UK and the US.
Power House Media is based in Covent Garden, London, and is associated with television companies such as; MTV, Channel 4, ITV, LWT, Carlton, Channel 5, Sky One, BBC and E4, assisting on productions which include; Big Brother, Fame Academy, Who wants to be a Millionaire, CD:UK, The Pepsi Chart Show, Brit Awards and the MTV Music Awards to name but a few. Power House Media also handle castings, produce commercial & EPKs, source crews and have a programe development department.
Marc Jays media relation talents have also been extended to the US and he is noted for being the main media contact for all film & TV companies, studios, agents, artists and celebrities who are looking to make their next movie, television series, promotion and magazine shoots in Las Vegas.
To date, Marc Jay has been instrumental in bringing top TV shows to Sin City including Las Vegas NBCs hit TV drama staring James Caan, Fear Factor and Double or Nothing, just to mention a few.
In July 2003, Marc Jay left the Mandalay Bay Resort Group to focus his attention on the creation of the only free standing night club in Las Vegas. A whole new concept in clubbing, ICE Meta_Club was born.
As Director of Public Relations and Special Events, to date Marc Jay has taken ICE to the next level as a hotspot for celebrity parties and International DJ talent, bringing in a monthly residency with the biggest dance music player and global brand Godskitchen.
With all the publicity that Marc Jay created around ICE, it was not long before he attracted the attention of the creators of the hit TV show The Restaurant and in August 2004 filming began for a new reality TV show called The Club. This featured international DJ Paul Oakenfold and focused on the everyday running of ICE and the management takeover by Godskitchen. The show broadcast with much acclaim at the end of 2004 and has just found international success with its worldwide release in 2005 in 22 countries around the world.
This last year has so far been the pivotal point in his career, where he has been able to branch off into various strains of International media, event management, marketing and public relations. Marc Jay played a fundamental role, in the merge with fourteen of the top nightclubs in Las Vegas in a special party representing Vegas nightlife at the 2005 WMC. The event was held in a private 16,000 square foot mansion, which was formally a temple, for an exclusive, V.I.P, invite only party. The party caused shockwaves within the nightclub Industry, as we witnessed the synergy of the top establishments in the city join forces to create a phenomenal event.
Upon his return, Marc was approached by VH1 to be a segment producer for The Fabulous Life of . Las Vegas, utilizing his extensive list of contacts to ensue the smooth running of the show, from the castings and location scouting, to the accommodation, crewing and pre records.
2006 has certainly proved to be one of Marcs most challenging and demanding years to date. So far he has already worked with Fox TV on their immensely popular show, Hells Kitchen, starring celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay. Struck by his previous list of accomplishments and impressive feedback, Fox contacted Marc to see if he could help accommodate their needs in creating the ultimate prize for their final extravaganza. Marc negotiated a deal between Fox and Red Rock hotel and casino, in which the winner of Hells Kitchen, would win a years ownership of a prestigious multi million dollar restaurant in the heart of fine dining, Las Vegas. Marc Jay and Lorenzo Fertitta, from Red Rock, made the deal which is said to have exceeded Fox TVs highest expectations, and the 10 week series will air in the summer of 2006, drawing in excess of 200 million viewers.
With contracts and work oriented recognition on this level, it was only a matter of time before Marc Jay decided to launch his own company here in Vegas, which leads on to his latest venture, One Global Events and Marketing.
Marc Jay and Lia Rispoli have recently announced that the success of their new company lies in the compatible combination of their own personal strengths. The company fuses Marcs extensive PR and media background with Lias corporate connections and special events skills and experience, which is the integral key to attracting high caliber clients on all levels.
It is hard to predict what the future will hold for Mr Jay, but with new innovative ideas constantly in development and his foresight to stretch the realms of reality, its all or nothing for this individual and the world is his oyster!
