i play the cello since 30 years now. in the beginning (at the age of 10), i got a classical education by atis teichmanis and jean-paul gueneux.
around 1988 i started playing my own music. the first experiences were the tries of imitating radio- and turntablescratching with a friend of mine in my hometown at the beginning of hiphop.
in 1990, i moved to cologne and started studying music in the class of claus kanngiesser. to this time, nearly everyone played in a band, so some friends and i started with "flowerhouse". after some changes, "guts pie earshot" was born in 1993.
meanwhile i had also great experiences in the classical scene, f. e. playing in the "junge deutsche philharmonie" with yo yo ma on a tour thru usa, and studies with the "amadeus" and "alban berg quartett".
after my exam and 2 years of temporary help in the orchestra in bielefeld, i began working free lance.
between 2003 and 2006 i mainly worked on making music for plays in theatres (theater bielefeld, landestheater linz, thalia theater hamburg) and music for radio plays.
since 2007 i play about 100 concerts a year with guts pie earshot in whole europe and
meanwhile with gilla cremer/theater unikate the theatre-play "mobbing".
