Smiles like a saint, curses like a sailor!

About Me

The only thing I learn from my mistakes is that I make a lot of mistakes. I used to be very outgoing, but somewhere along the line I became totally shy. I did a ridiculous amount of partying and clubbing when I was younger, so these days I tend to appreciate being domestic and spending quiet time at home, although that's not to say I don't enjoy rehashing the good ol' days every once in a while. I'm a workaholic, which is a blessing and a curse, but I am very good at what I do and ultimately enjoy it. I've been in the porn publishing business for over a decade, making a few pit stops here and there to work at tattoo shops and go skydiving. I'm at a point in my life where I'm trying to tie up loose ends and make peace with things I've been unable to accept or fix before...not really sure why. Things were dark for a while, but they're getting better in leaps and bounds, so I'm grateful.

My Interests

my family, boyfriend and friends that love me no matter how many times I'm late or screw up, tattoos, books, kitty cats, skydiving, antiques, my Ipod, Ring of Honor (go-go El Generico, the Average Luchadore...Ole!), Buddhism, lip balm, prayer flags, high heels, porn, vintage Halloween and circus memorabilia, Day of the Dead (the holiday, not the movie!) stuff, Hello Kitty, corsets, things that sparkle, so-ugly-they're-hot 50s lamps, ginger ale, reverse-carved lucite, kisses, chalkware, marshmallows, Yankee Candle Company candles, Ebay, flannel sheets, happy endings, on-demand cable, sleeping in, perfume, paying back karmic debt, Freemasons, DVDs, bubble baths, obsessively reading Us Weekly to see how the rich and the beautiful are living, Apple computers, and lately I've been totally hooked on the World of Warcraft (level 70 gnome protection warrior with a Drakefist Hammer...woohoo! I might not be full-on epic yet, but 10,000 more Kara runs and I'll be able to beat your lame Horde ass. And by the way, a big shout-out to all my favorite SDKs and my rogue partner-in-crime. Hell, even that super-special someone who runs with the red guy by playing for the dark side!)

I'd like to meet:

Dean Winters, you can sit on my lap anytime! Also, my new television husband, Mike Rowe. There's nothing hotter than a man's man knee-deep in muck while quoting classical literature or singing opera. Also, I'm currently crushing on Bear Grylls...'cos he's handsome, been to the top of Everest, also likes to jump out of perfectly good airplanes (and be way better at it than I'll ever be!), and for the cute way he says "iodine" with his sexy accent. He has my vote for the person I'd most like to be stranded with in case of a major catastrophe. Well, maybe that vote goes to Les Stroud. He might not be as sexy, but boy is he hardcore! That "lost at sea" episode still blows my mind, even if it was one seriously insane yet relatively "controlled" experiment. Of course, my first imaginary husband, Tom Waits, will still always hold a special place in my heart. And my libido aside, I just want to hang with El Generico, because I think that the "average luchadore" wrestling gimmick is one of the most hysterical, best ever!

YAY, BOOKS!

Heroes:

Joseph Campbell! The people who do kind, amazing things every single day that go unnoticed. My pop for giving me the values I need to live, and my mom for showing me how to die. Hedy Lamarr, Ginger Rogers and Lana Turner, the three most stunning women ever captured on film. Ray Milland, for being one of the most fucking brilliant actors of his day and classic looks that literally make a girl weak in the knees. Finally, Ian Curtis for expressing the things that most people can't, giving a sense of community in isolation, and then having the courage to walk the walk.
