Summer of 1984.... Mike Millard ( Guitar ) & Jim West ( Vocals ) hook up with Mike Haden ( drums ) to form T.P.U.. Practicing in a garage in Boulder City, Nevada , Jim West wrote the lyrics to, " Desert Party" and a song called , " Reagan's World". Mike Millard, being frustrated with Jim West , took a break to resume T.P.U. in the Summer of 1985. Mike hooked up with Scott Hill to reform T.P.U. and look for other potential musicians. Bert Skidmore = Bass & Scott Matusow = Drums , joined ( on T.P.U.'s debut cassette tape ) , recorded on January 2nd, 1986 @ Powerhouse recording studio in Las Vegas. The tape went on to be a hit and a classic. Radio stations & music mags. enjoyed the feel free attitude. After a brief break, Mike Millard had asked his long time friend, Brian ( Amoeba ) Kelly to join the band as bass player. Replacing Bert Skidmore. In December of 1988, T.P.U. re-entered the recording studio for a 5 song E.P.
