After years of playing piano, violin and drums, Sven Prinsen came in touch with the House beat. The soundscapes of this type of music just were so different and so amazing, it often triggered Sven to listen to underground radioshows. In 1996 he started buying records and developed his mixing and musical skills. At the age of 16 he started playing for audiences in small clubs in Haarlem. One of his first residencies was and still is at Club Stalker (Haarlem).Club Stalker has always been an inspiring club where new styles of dance music can be heard in its early beginning, and where special foreign djs can be heard. Sven played together with national and international deejays/ producers like Alexander Technique, Tommie Sunshine (NY), Joost van Bellen, Terry Toner, Laidback Luke (NL), Nathan Coles and Eddie Richards (Fabric, UK). In 2005 Sven started organising his own night called ’Vastgoed’. Famous dutch DJs like Benny Rodrigues, Eric de Man and Brian S have been part of the line-up. Nowadays Sven organises a monthly party called ’Haarlem Beeft’, an evening where he invites his favorite DJs and Live-acts like Alexander Technique, Hannah Holland, Schijfrijders, Oliver $ and Riva Starr.Besides Club Stalker Sven has a residency at Chemistry events and at Divinity parties (Backyard, Fire! at Patronaat, Haarlem). Regularly he plays at Paradiso, Flexbar, Club Home, Hotel Arena, Twisted and NL (Amsterdam).Sven’s sound can be best described as a mix of House with a lot of funk and Tech-house/ Techno. His intention is to always create an energetic dance floor and to make clubbing a special experience to people.Besides the fact that Sven is always improving his DJ skills, he recently started producing music, to make his own contribution to the dance scene.
