People either know me as Reggie or Dj Kue either name you call me is fine. I'm from St. Louis, Missouri you know the show me state and I’m a pretty laid back guy that likes all types of music, and I have been doing this dj thing for about 10 years now. Of course the scratching is what drew me to become a dj and after seeing dj’s like Jazzy Jeff, Spinbad, Jam Master Jay, Dj Kut, 1 Ruf Dj, Cash Money, The X Men and many more I decided to give it a shot. I bought a set of turntables and instantly started learning how to scratch and after 6 months I enter my first dj battle. Which was held at the Guitar Center, after that I enter every dj battle in the St. Louis area including The Wax Murdaraz After Skool Brawl and The Kool Mix Dj Battle. The dj battle scene was short lived in St. Louis due to lack of participation. So the next step was to make a name for myself in the night club scene. The first gig I got was at a small cigar bar in the Central West End called Posh, it was small bar but the owner gave me a shot and it was a great stepping stone for me because a lot of club promoters, and club owners would come in and I would pick up other gigs that way. This led me to play gigs in area night clubs such as Nectar, Blackmons Plaza, Luckys, Dantes, The Loft, Lush, Laughs on the Landing, Onyx and many others. After a brief stint of jumping around club to club djing for various promotion companies like Jack Daniels, Bud Light, Major Brands, Free Time, and Precision Inc I landed some night club residencies at Kyo, The Monkey Bar, The Drunken Fish, Pure, The Voodoo Lounge (Harrahs Casino), 609, and Sugar Lounge. I have since added Xes Nightclub to my list of residencies where I am currently every Wednesday and Saturday night. I feel that the sky is the limit for me and even though I have accomplished a lot I still have many goals I want to achieve as a dj so look out for Dj Kue he may be coming to a city near you.
