*Our music we have posted currently was recorded over a year ago.*
Since then, we’ve played a couple of local, public gigs for 30-100+ fans. We’re in the process of recording a recent demo CD w/ our bassist Quinn, as well as finding a place to jam besides our living room!
We are 4 guys who enjoy playing music in our spare time. As a form of release & a way of life, we write & produce our own, original music. Last Day of March originally consisted of 3 members. Zan, formerly the bassist, moved to the drums about 3 years ago, which has turned out to be a great decision. Justin picked up the axe in ’00 & immediately grasped the role of rhythm guitar. Heavily influenced by Tool, he has progressed remarkably through the years with his driving rhythm & hard riffs that you hear today.
I, Collin started out on the lead guitar & bring a bit of the classic rock, or blues riffs to the mix. For 4 1/2 years we jammed together with no bassist, or vocals. If we were looking to progress & make something more of this, a change had to be made. I have taken a step back from the guitar on the heavier tunes, to bring some vox to the mix that you hear today. We jammed in this formation for about 2 1/2 years, slowly gaining momentum, playing from the living room to the warehouse, to our 1st public debut @ the Bashful bandit. It felt like something was still missing though...Our most recent addition is our bassist, Quinn. With years of experience on the axe Quinn didn’t hesitate to pick up the bass & fall in. Within weeks he was ready 2 perform with us in a Battle of the Bands @ the Pima Co. Fairgrounds & also @ O’Malleys. We have been playing in this formation since November & feel it has been our strongest & most rewarding yet.
Our songs that we currently play are our heavier riffs & have about 16 of them. We also have about 8 original tunes, that are more on the mellow side. Keep your ears open for that sometime...
We each bring our own unique styles & influence to the table, which seems to blend together very nicely.
We usually perform in front of crowds of friends & family, but are now starting to get our music out to the local scene. We were approached by a record company in ’06 that teamed-up with a non-profit organization. Together we’re able to use our music to help spread the word against drunk driving. Feel free to read the posted blog about the "Arizona Rockers For Life" CD project!
Our latest venues have been battles @ The Rock & the Pima Co. Fairgrounds. We’ve shared the stage with other local bands such as: Ph8, You Apart, Gaza Strip, Mission G, Tragik Ruins & Onadi.
We don’t do cover tunes & take great pride in creating our own music. We are interested in knowing what you think about our music & what feedback you might have for us. As always, we’re open for any ideas or opportunities ~ A special thanx to all of our families, ladies, friends & fans. U ROCK!
