In the early years Hertz started out as a DJ / turntablist, cutting and scratching on breaks and MPC loops, playing under different alias's mixing and manipulating a fusion of different styles and sounds. Known for his versatile unique style and ability of captivating crowds soon gained him many residencies and regular sets in and around London.
Later he was involved as a DJ touring with Tommy Evans on the YNR UK tour, whilst holding various residencies at Plan B, Herbal + many more. During this time he also has held regular slots on various pirate radio stations including - (Laylow FM, React FM, Sub FM & Streamizm.)
After working with various artists and projects Hertz concentrated more on production, with a craving for dark 2 step, dub and low end frequency's. After many years perfecting his own sound, HeadLock was created, an independent record label and outlet for his and other similar producers own unique style. The 1st release having much success including great write ups and much support from big name DJ's within the scene.

Headlock are now dropping a 2nd release and in talks with various promoters about possible nights & events forthcoming in 09.
More recently Hertz won the Kiss FM DJ competition in December 2008 which confirmed his ability, tune selection and skill as a top upcoming DJ.
Now working on various production projects and the 2nd Headlock release as well as nights + many other bookings watch out for more from Hertz & HeadLock, in 2009.
