Mike is a professional close up magician and mind reader, whose early years were spent travelling throughout the Middle and Far East learning dark and secret things from various mystic types, deciphering the mysteries of the universe and attempting to understand Man's place in the divine plan. Once that was out of the way, he promptly returned to London ("The Spiritual Capital of the World") and took up his current occupation. He's basically the greatest magician who ever lived, but would never say so himself, being a modest and well brought up sort of chap. It's best to keep him away from the colour orange as when drunk Mike has been known to start fights with men who resemble the Dali Lama, all the while shouting "Where's my bloody money you cheating bastard?". He still denies that what happened in Beijing was his fault.
