About Me

Glen “White Cloud” Bonham is a Native American member of the Choctaw Tribe of the talent-laden state of Oklahoma. Glen grew up in a family of bluegrass musicians and began performing professionally in 1971 with talents such as Bill Grant, Delia Bell, and the Kiamichi Mountain Boys. Glen’s musical talents include guitar, bass, and mandolin with a strong lead and tenor voice. Glen is also accomplished traditional Native American Dancer. Glen strives to create no boundaries for his innovative music writing and performance, drawing from the influences of bluegrass, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and his own Native American heritage. Glen Bonham is also an alumnus of Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys and was a band member during the 70s and on through the 80s. Glen has performed at major bluegrass festivals and various other venues for over 36 years and is an inspired songwriter with more than 100 songs to his credit. You may have seen Glen: j Grand Ole Opry j Billy Bobs j Ernest Tubb Record Shop j Hosting The Louisiana Hayride j At Hundreds of bluegrass, gospel, and country music venues Throughout Glen’s career in entertainment, he has been honored to share the stage with various bluegrass musicians such as Bill Monroe, The Whites, and countless others. In 2003- 04, Glen opened several shows for Jeannie Kendall. Glen was frequently featured on the CBS network television show, “Walker, Texas Ranger”. Glen also appeared in the movie “Once Upon A Time in China” with Jet Li and in “The Life and Times of Bill Monroe” which aired on The Nashville Network (TNN). In 2002, Glen joined forces with Scena Records Inc. and is currently on tour promoting the first album on the label entitled “ Native American Sings American Bluegrass”. This CD collection is full of all of your bluegrass favorites. In 2006, Glen’s CD “Cold, Cold Winter” was released. Both of these CD are available nation wide in many fine CD dealers. Currently in 2007, Glen Bonham and Southern Tradition have released a new CD titled “Gospel Favorites Vol. 1”. The fans really like this new release.
