Hey I'm James what's up? I'm spend my time workin, playin drums, guitar and whatever other instrument finds itself in my hands. And trying to sing (not so good).
I play drums in Anti Love Drug , playing original alternative rock. Previously I've played in a few other local bands, Precious Nothing , Carousel and also for a short stint in Absent Minded . I've also spent some time over the last couple of years drumming in a cover band known as The Rock.
I'm mainly into alternative / grunge music, Pixies, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Seether, Silverchair, Metallica, Faith No More, etc. Grew up listenin to some older school shit like Violent Femmes, Tom Petty, Buffalo Tom and even REM. I go through phases of gettin into some old Eminem stuff and used to even listen to a bit of RnB but not as often anymore.
Some things you should know..
Dave Grohl is a legend, full stop. Don't ever bag him in front of me. Yes, I have a "Pixies" tattoo on my arm, as in the band "Pixies". Get over it. They rock. I've been listenin to them since I was like 6. Kim Deal has a cool voice. So does Mike Patton, "The Gentle Art of Making Enemies" is a wicked song. I used to have long hair, I tried to have it cut, fucked it, and had to shave it off. I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do, it's normally Friends, Two & a Half Men, Lost, or more recently Summer Heights High. Love a good comedy movie, vintage Jim Carrey & Adam Sandler. Rush Hour 1/2/3. I dig all the Alien / Predator / Terminator / Die Hard, etc. movies. I don't believe Kurt killed himself, read the facts. It just doesn't seem possible. But we'll never know, R.I.P. Kurt, thank you.
My Dad played Bass in a few bands when I was young, so for years I decided I wanted to be in a band and drum. Finally when I was nearly 20 I bought a kit. Pretty much my whole family can play a few instruments or sing or somethin, they're musical guns. Maybe that's the only reason they used to put up with my constant bangin on the drums and let me live my dream. I want another tattoo, I have the idea in my head just gotta sketch it up and see how it looks. I'm not the type to get pierced, don't mind it on others if it suits them. Life is short, enjoy it, do what you want but be respectful of others. Your family and mates are everythin, so look after them and they'll look after you.

When I heard the Pixies for the first time, I connected with that band so heavily I should have been in that band - or at least in a Pixies cover band. We used their sense of dynamics, being soft and quiet and then loud and hard."
