About Me

I`m a racer of many colors. I have raced things that most people only dream of and this I am very thankful for. I can look back on what life have given me and be glad I was in the right places at the right time. The best part of all is God has kept me safe so I can race another day. My interest in motorsports started out at a young age with a 3.5 hp mini bike. I believe I was around the age of 5 or 6 and just had the passion to try and make things faster. I remember driving pennies in the clutch to make it hook up harder..lolAs I got older, like maybe around the age of 8, I learned the "barter system" and did some trading for a motorcycle. Yep, had to play with that and try to make it faster too! I had a long list of dirt bikes in my young years. I got my first car at the age of 15 and yep had to make it faster after being the owner for about 2 months. 1965 Dodge with a 383. I started to hang around the local dirt track thus sparked a new interest. I made some new friends and started to help crew for some of the racers. At the age of about 17 I had my first chance to drive a drag car for a guy and was hooked in the sport after that first pass. It was called the "Amzoil Nova" After that I just had to build my own car. A few years latter I somehow slipped back to bikes again but this time I was on the 1/4 mile racing a 2 stroke. As the years went on I got an interest in 4X4`s and started to build mud boggers then the sport took a turn for Mud Drags. I built one car and won every event I entered in 1986 & 87. In 1989 I built the War Wagon Monster Truck/Car. I only ran it for about 4 years to only be bored with the sport and returning to Dirt Track racing. I then ran IMCA mod`s for the next 8 years but growing old and wanting to spend time with my kids sold out. I was then asked to drive for another guy. After about 4 seasons of driving the other guy`s car I bought a Jet Boat thinking I could retire from racing and still have fun playing at the lake with a hot rod. Well you guessed it, I wasn't done racing yet. I bought what was my last IMCA mod and raced for another 3 years. It just wasn't the same as the boat had struck yet another interest in me. I started playing with my lake hot rod trying to go faster. I then did my first boat drag race in 2000 and got hooked. Being my boat was just the everyday lake boat I had to build something. While I was looking for a new project I found a 83 Camaro that looked like it could be fun to install one of my leftover IMCa motors in. After completing the Camaro it sat as I had found the JET HYDRO. I bought the Hydro even after everyone telling me that it would never fly and if I was to put a motor in it, it would kill me. After 3 seasons of racing the boat trying everything there was to try I took a saw and cut the bottom off and redesigned the boat the way it should have been. Now I`m loving it and it loves me back...lol.. Yes it worked and I`m most proud of the outcome as now I`m racing a boat that I designed and it works. Taking some time off the boat racing in 2005 I broke out the Camaro and went to the track. getting hooked again on the 1/4 mile one more time. So now we are racing the 1/4 mile on land and water. My 15 year old girl is now racing a dragster as her 9 year old sister rides a Motocross bike.
