About Me

top: 0px;" border="0"I was introduced to hip-hop at about age 12 in Long Beach California by my older brother in the early 90's. From there I used to recite rhymes from other emcee's albums as if there were my own. One day i decided to gather my own material from my own brain. I couldn't write and rhyme so i began to freestlye and remember all of the words i would recite. My first battle took place about a 12 months later and i won against a childhood friend and became a block celeb. My brother approached me due to my false hood of true hip-hop. I say that because i would only listen to west coast artist at that time. Well he stated that west coast hip-hop was wack and that it originated from the east coast so he stated that i should listen to east coast hip-hop. My brother began to mock me for listening to an artist by the name of K-D who at the time was an artist of Ice Cubes on Priority Records. He played me music of the one and only KRS One behind K-D and from that day forth i felt west coast music was wack. I began listening to this show known as "The Wake-Up show" on the radio every Saturday night from 11:00 pm-1:00 am. The show consisted of rap battles between some of the great emcee's you all know today like: Eminem, Jay-z Common, Nas, 50 cent, Naughty by nature, A tibe called quest, kurrupt, etc. Man that show was off the hook then. Anyway the Wake up show is where i really learned the difference between rappers and lyrisist. In 1994 i hooked up with a producer by the name of Seven (who is my producer now) and we formed a group by the name of Prophcey. The Group consist of Myself ( The son of man) my producer (The Child of light) and (Richport "The Savior"). We've done most of our shows out in Orange County, and worked with a list of emcees that extend out to the bay area. We are all solo artist and go under our own projects i have an album finished which is called Life Love Religion, Reality the four principles. My second album should be finished by the winter of 07 it's called the GeniExodus. Be on the look out for that one its going to be hot. All the topics i focus on are soulful, hart felt, and a vivid picuture of my life and experiences we all face on a daily basis. I feel that my job as an emcee is to tell the real truth and nothing less than the truth to the people who have established our careers as artist. I feel that we are obligated to show how the opportunity of doing music has evolutionized our lives and life style. God blessed us with this one gift that is powerful enough to move people in whatever direction we want to them to move in, because music plays on the emotions of the people. We have a responsibility to be instruments that God uses to speak and influence the people in the manner in which he wants them to be influenced. With that being said get to know me and grow with me as i take you on a journey of how a writter becomes an artist...........Welcome to the GeniExodus!!!!!madd world
