His rare blend of groove and swing blended with a love of latin music has led him to develop a unique sound that sits comfortably whether backing a solo vocalist, swinging hard in his trio 'The Band of the Giants' (with Jono Brown and Cameron Reid) or working with a 18 piece Big Band.Nick can be heard Thurs nights 9-12 at Cherrijam, 16-18 Cross St, Double Bay (www.myspace.com/cellardoorsessions) And also regularly with funksters Grover: (see www.grover.com.au)Nick is a past winner of the Musicoz awards (Jazz section 2001) and has worked with the likes of Emma Pask, Club Havana, John Morrisons Swing City(www.swingcity.com.au), Latin big band Mucho Mambo, (with James Morrison and Monica Trapaga) and has toured Australia for Musica Viva (with Tigramuna).
