Writing was always a great way of self expression and escape for Liberty. She constantly entered and won talent contests as a poet, female rapper and dancer. Liberty was a member of several local groups, but remained strong as a solo artist. "I was very committed to songwriting, playwright, poetry and Hip Hop", she said. Soon, a revival experience with the Lord changed her life. Her life took a turn in a new direction. Instead of walking in darkness, Liberty began walking in the light. She gave her life to Christ, recieved the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and the lyrics changed. "I wanted to tell everybody about the Love of God", she said. During her college years, she met EmD, her husband and producer. Liberty began singing in the church, songs of deliverance and Praise to her Lord, Jesus Christ. While at work, songs would come to mind. She couldn't wait to get home ,write down the lyrics and sang to God. Then she would sing it to him. In return, he created a music masterpiece.
Together they produced two powerful gospel CDs. Testimonies after testimonies, revealed their true purpose in life. Her invitations to sing at several venues include TBN, Bobby Jones Gospel, Bayfest and many others. Having a heart of service and worship, she continued working in the church, extending social, academic and tutorial services. While working and teaching sunday school, Liberty went back to school and recieved her Master's Degree in Education. Not only is she called, she is a chosen vessel for God. Not only is she certified but she is highly qualified by God!
Today, they enjoy traveling, singing for church occassions, charitable organizations, spending time with family and friends, and spreading the love of God. "I want people to know that if God brought me out of darkness, sin and shame that He will do the same for them and I want to live my life by setting a positive and Christ like example for others", she said. Also, she's reminded of several scriptures that keeps her planted, rooted and moving forward......
I Peter 2:9--But Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light .
Matthew 5:14-16--Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candelstick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
