About Me

Nature Contact Tables provided by ProfileGoodies.com

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and moved here in April 2004. Moving cross country with one husband and 11 kitties was quite an adventure, especially when you've both quit your jobs and put the house on the market. Scary but exciting and I've not looked back since. Growing up in Ohio, I worked as a commercial artist in Advertising after graduating from college. I eventually fell victim to the many layoffs that took place and started my own freelance business, selling my calligraphic works of art at local juried shows, as well as doing commission work for client I'd meet at these shows. I enjoyed a good reputation, especially as a Calligrapher, but never found my niche, so in 1996, I decided to go back to college and earn my biology degree, in hopes of eventually pursuing veterinary medicine. Well, sometimes our best laid plans are perhaps not really the best thing, and after 3 interviews at Ohio State (a long and tedious process just to get an interview), burn-out from working emergency medicine, and a spouse who was about to become unemployed, due to a company closure, I found myself re-thinking yet again what I really wanted to be when I grew up. I put any further application for vet school on hold, moved out here, and found another job in emergency medicine. It was then that I realized that there is so much more to life, so much more I want to experience, more avenues I want to explore, more adventures I want to have. Vet school became something that I had wanted at one time, but it no longer felt right. I'm still in the veterinary field, having passed the VTNE boards and moving to specialty practice, and have now been enjoying life more than ever. My plan is to do and experience as much as I can, yet I've only scratched the surface...As my life changes so will my plans, and I expect at some point I'll make another career move. Perhaps I'll revisit my art (which I still do, though not as much as I'd like), or pursue photography, which has become a hobby of mine. Or perhaps I'll work in the great outdoors, teaching rock climbing or working as a mountain guide. At this point, the sky's the limit......I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

You are the World

Completion, Good Reward.

The World is the final card of the Major Arcana, and as such represents saturnian energies, time, and completion.

The World card pictures a dancer in a Yoni (sometimes made of laurel leaves). The Yoni symbolizes the great Mother, the cervix through which everything is born, and also the doorway to the next life after death. It is indicative of a complete circle. Everything is finally coming together, successfully and at last. You will get that Ph.D. you've been working for years to complete, graduate at long last, marry after a long engagement, or finish that huge project. This card is not for little ends, but for big ones, important ones, ones that come with well earned cheers and acknowledgements. Your hard work, knowledge, wisdom, patience, etc, will absolutely pay-off; you've done everything right.
