My name is Will Darling. I am currently a senior at SUNY New Paltz focusing of Public Relations. For the summer I am working for Pilot Creative Public Relations doing work for various artists. During the school year I work with a good friend Tommi-Grace on a radio show, Live n' Local. We interview artists from all different backgrounds and styles. After I graduate I am considering started my own public relations firm, in which I would like to work with bands that have a grass roots beginning and play for a cause. I consider music to be a very invasive part of our culture that affects everyone in a meaningful way, so it should be taken as a serious art form that can change and affect peoples mindsets, not just a form of entertainment. In addition to musicians I would like to work with non-profit organizations, artists, and any person or group that wishes to have a positive impact on society. Throughout my life I wish to affect people in a positive way and bring about change. I want to be able to say that my life was meaningful. In conjunction with my plan of starting a public relations firm, I wish to study pure and applied ethics and bring it to a level that will be able to influence students throughout their education. In order to accomplish this I am considering going to graduate school and focusing on communication and ethics. Both of these goals are ideals that I plan to achieve throughout a lifetime.
