Im not a band. Im a dj, but for some reason dj's aren't listed as a site option. Probably because of all the kids playing donk and claiming to be a dj.
Sorry to say dj alot in that last bit.

I do produce my own lo-fi stuff using old school cut and paste techniques. Old vibe, new technology.
Ive been playing/collecting (and misplacing!) records about 12/13 years now. I lost count after abit.
If i thought really hard i could tell you.
But im not going to.
The tunes you can hear are just somethin' ive done in my spare time, and all the software ive produced it on is wack riddled with some sort of rancid festering techno germ that deletes waves at random.
On the DJ side of things, i play all sorts of stuff, music has collided so much over the years its getting hard to distinguish different genres. Tracks with a tasty breakbeat goes down a treat, breaks, hip hop, funk, northern soul, bossa, electro, ska, rare groove, you get the picture. Im not gonna list every vibe in my stash, that would just be stoopid and unnecessary.
Plus I get down with alot of vinyl faffey, scratchin', beat jugglin. I hate to give it a name, but if you want we will call it turntablism. This is not something that every promoter appreciates unless the night is built around that sort of vibe in the first place (with exception to recent bookings from local live music promoters W.M.C and SCUTTER promotions, who both wanted something different than your normal jukebox style dj(BIG UP BIG UP, HHHRRRISSSSPIKK)) , in fact not many outside of main cities are willing to take a risk (or just dont know what it is!) So i dont just limit myself to wanking off vinyl for a few hours and always take a huge collection of beats out , probably too many,my arms seem miles too long these days.
I have played all sorts of venues over the past 7/8 years, as a main act playing sets for hours, or playing for short periods supporting live acts to keep the munters entertained whilst the stage is sorted out between bands This is generally when the turntablism comes in handy as i am actually doing something "live" rather than just pushing play on a machine and sitting back. I try not to follow the trends of what every other DJ is playing, but everybody has to have certain gems in their box, I mean, what self respecting DJ would go out without something by James Brown in their stash. But on the other hand, Floella"playschool"Benjamin's cover version of the block party classic "clapping song" is a fine treat!
Like finding your KitKat has no wafer in it.
If you wanna add the Strangelab,
do it,
if not,
change your duds,
and then go and lick the bum fluff off Craig Davids massive chin to make your mum proud.
woo hoo
Peace...dR.strange.
