About Me

I'm Karen...I'm 23 years old. I moved to Colorado Springs, CO in August of 2006. I left a great family behind in Texas...2 brothers and a sister, and 4 nieces and 1 nephew. I am the biggest hockey fan you will ever meet! I'm a very faithful friend. I like to constantly dye my hair. I love to watch snow fall. I wish every hockey game was played like a playoff game. I love dogs, but I could live without cats. I love cheese. I am a Christian - always have been, and always will be. There is nothing better in life than always knowing I am forgiven for every stupid thing I do. Who else will always love me unconditionally?
I love studying Ancient Rome, and going into depth about the daily life of Romans and hearing stories with detail about every aspect of their lives. It's so interesting to hear about life during Ancient Rome, and I like to hear the truth about the politics back then also. I'm currently reading a book of a selection of Cicero's speeches and next I plan on reading a book on Gladiators.
"The bottom line is that at the end of the day your mother would rather you marry a hockey player than any other athlete from any other sport." - Barry Melrose

Rain On My Parade

Well it was a rainy day here in Colorado, and a rainy night in Vancouver. No one can say it was Turco's fault this year.  He deserves some credit.  The Stars got a lot of lousy, silly, unnec...

Dallas shouldn't count their chickens before they've hatched.

Don't get me wrong. Last night's game was an emotionally intense ride of close calls and no goals. Very stressful for a fan who went to Game 5 in Dallas against the Avs last year where Dallas lost e...
