After making a successful appearance at Hard Working Class Heroes 07, the following April saw Offshore declared winners of the Phantom FM Battle of the Bands ahead of 60 other top Irish Bands.
Having played the 2fm New Bands Stage at Oxegen in July 08, Offshore entered the studio to record their first release, the Double A Side Single containing the tracks "Small Fires" and "Balcony Waves". It was released on February 5th with the launch night at Dublin's Crawdaddy. With their follow up EP already in production Offshore will be taking to the road over the coming weeks and months.
The single was first played by 2fm's Dan Hegarty on his ‘Alternative to Sleep’ show on Friday 23rd Jan. www.rte.ie/2fm/danhegarty
