About Me

/hey, i'm brian koschak, budding comick art demigod (someone else's words, not mine). i just finished up my first graphic novel, "narcoleptic sunday", written by jeremy haun and it'll probably be the first time you've ever seen my work. for the last ten years, though, i have been busting ass on my labor of love, "the eavesdropper cafe," a journey through all the dark and kinky places of the human brain (or mine at least). hopefully it will be out there in the ether within a couple of months, but until then i'll toss some pages up for ya to gawk at. i've also appeared in "3 car pileup", an anthology put together by matt bors and dan custer a few years back (i still owe them money for it, can you believe it? i'm such a loser) and it's available at www.mattbors.com. buy one.i was born in minneapolis but was raised in hibbing minnesota, a few blocks from bob dylan's childhood home. kinda cool. put out a swank-ass underground newspaper with my good bud kevin kelley called "the four walled world". i cringe looking at it now but we tried. that's all that matters. moved back to minneapolis, conceived "the eavesdropper cafe" with the mighty sam nerby, and continued on to the frozen tundra of fargo north dakota . colder than you could ever imagine. don't go there. did some posters for the mind-blowing avant-sexrock group Transporter. moved to springfield missouri for some reason and have been there ever since, bringing 2 cool little dudes into the world, collaborating with loooongtime bud/man of ideas Ed waara on "the Harvest" (printed in "3 car pileup"), and putting out my xeroxed masterpiece, book one of "the eavesdropper cafe." unknown to me, the comic super-stud known as jeremy haun picked up this rag of mine, liked it, and offered me the job as artiste on his first written script, "narcoleptic sunday". oni press picked it up. i drew my ass off and cranked out something i'm damn proud of, and i hope something that jeremy is too. oh, and i found out last week my girlfriend is pregnant, so i'm pretty jazzed about that too. there are a few more top secret projects lined up, hopefully a couple that actually pay money. be on the look out for intergalactic bugporn in collaboration with Iowa city's Insectoid... sure to offend even the most gnarled porn addicts.thanks <a
