So why am i on myspace some people want to know (okay, they really don't give a she-it but so what)? Well it is quite simple really. First i logged on way back when the network count was around 17.5 million. In February 2006 it read a bit over 70 million, and that is all just in 20 months of time that passed (by September 7, 2006, it posted at 108 million {a glitch in code made it read 1 billion though}, by November 2007 over 210 million). That makes this one of the most active networks in all of cyberspace. I got more into it because a friend, and former student, began to show me all the music and band information within the spaces, and the ease of communicating.
I stay on for my my extended family: to connect with them, find out what they are doing, see what our friends are up to (many i have known most or all of their lives), see what they are listening to and what interests they have, how they are changing and relating to the world and the insanity of it all. [top friends~row number two]
I stay on for my friends and former students who are travelling and experiencing the world in different nations, on different continents, across new experiential horizons, while showing me new music and new bands and new sounds and new art.[rows number one and three]
I stay on for my own connections to the music world, to stay in touch with friends in bands, and to help promote them and their efforts, to work to bring them to more and diverse audiences, and to use myspace as it is best used [rows number through eight].
