My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The Start

We started with our first party back 5 years ago when we decided to DJ a party for our Venture group and borrowed the equipment from a local supplier who is still our equipment supplier today. I had a great time doing it and when I was asked to DJ again for a friend the company started. Originally it was Tom Kerridge and I with Adam joining us soon after. Johnny moved down from Darlington and joined the team and that was the original line up of falling frog. We worked for a while and started to get a good reputation as we became a bit more competent and professional. As we went along we picked up members of the team and first of all it was Kedge who joined over a period of time and is now a full fledged frog. Since then we haven’t taken on any new complete frogs but have many friends including Alan Murray and Ant Buck that bring their skills to us when we require the support. The name is distinctive and we are always asked how it came about. It originated from a picture on my computer of 4 frogs on a branch, one falling. These gained names above their heads and the falling frog was adopted as our logo and name. The logo was redesigned in 2004 and applied to our shirts, stationary and website and it has become a recognised image. The frog still exists and brings a smile every time I view it!

The Present

At the moment we are working more than we ever had and enjoying each gig we do. We have a number of regular jobs including getting repeat bookings form many of our clients, including Sixth Forms, Rugby Clubs, charities and private parties. We have bookings most weekends and use our full team quite often to provide our quality service in several locations. We now use more lighting effects and other effects equipment and now a larger, louder, higher quality rig that means the atmosphere is even better at an event with us. We are also doing other work away from our DJ service including audio work for our equipment supplier, show sound and light and also event planning. We have run events for clients with up to 600 guests, using our good relationships with local venues and suppliers to get a great deal for them. We have proven that we can run evenings with up to 3 events and this enables us to rarely turn down contributing to any event. We also have a thriving business in working for clients on outdoor music events, offering a complete event management service. Again we use our relationships with suppliers and partner companies, meaning very often we offer a full management and organisation package for less than a client can arrange themselves. We have a very open company and each member can fill in for another if this is required, this enables us to be flexible and to work at late notice or when a client is let down by another service supplier.

The Future

We will continue to provide our services and improve our service as much as we can, we have had a new audio setup recently and this means our regular clients enjoy an even higher quality from ourselves and our supplier Varnam Electroacoustic . This new website reflects our evolution that will continue apace in the next year. If you want to know anything else just mail us and if you want to book have a look at the ‘contact us' section. Hope to see you at an event soon.
