Lately I'm a desperate believer, walking in a straight line.

About Me

PLEASE SPONSOR ME! ON THE MOVE for Alzheimer's Association for research&cure of Alzheimer's!--IN HONOR OF MY GRANDMOTHER-9/21/08
Hmmm. What's there to say..I'm a person who is in love with laughing and making people laugh! I always seem to crave new things to try, new people to learn from, and new ideas. Life's thrown more than a healthy set of challenges my way in the last year...but I'm just focused on staying positive, moving forward. It seems there was a death of who I used to be, and I'm still getting used to who I'm becoming. I'm easy going and intense at the same time, and I try to channel my energy into writing- or even at times a good conversation with a friend.
"In this place it seems like such a shame. Though it all looks different now, I know it's still the same. Everywhere I look you're all I see. Just a fading f**king reminder of who I used to be." -NIN

I love the quiet of being outside of the city, trying to do the things that make me happy in life, and not worry about everything so much... I'm always learning to relax a little more and also to live day by day, even moment by moment-- Life's too short not to appreciate where we are, and the future will come whether we're ready or not. I love to meet new people and make people laugh, love women and everything about them,(almost ;)) I love sports, cars, writing.. Love all kinds of music.. R&B, some rap, hip hop, classic rock, rock, alternative, soul, motown, depending on my mood. I love dancing, and I love to sing, go out and shoot some pool, play mini golf or go bowling with friends.. spending time with people I love. It could be driving a car through the woods, it really doesn't matter-- its who I'm with that makes it fun. I Love being on/near the water- whether in a boat or at the beach or by a river- its the most calming place in the world for me.

My Interests

..Women, my CLOSEST friends, history, psychology, homeopathic remedies and therapy, raising awareness and funds for research to find a cure for Alzheimer's, writing, movies, sports. Most of the time you'll find me writing, listening to music, watching movies, reading books/sports news, hanging with friends, or whatever else catches my attention. I know, I'm very exciting. This game is absolutely bizarre. Makes me laugh. So I'm twisted.

I'd like to meet:

People who are passionate, not neccessarily (actually, hopefully not) all the same things as me, just whatever it may be that drives them. A woman/person who can teach me something, and who can learn a thing or two from me maybe! :) People who are calm/gentle, down to earth, connected with themselves- loving and who have a sense of humor tend to get my attention. I can't stand negativity- I like to surround myself with people who want the best for themselves. Don't get me wrong, I can definitely be a cynic (especially politically) but I want the best out of life. Regardless of what hand life deals me, I want to get the most out of life as I possibly can, we only have one. Being around people who have no motivation, doesn't work for me.

I have NO ROOM IN MY LIFE for people who lie, cheat, who aren't loyal or trustworthy, who say one thing then do another, yellers, fighters etc. Just genuine people, with genuine values are those I'm interested to meet. I don't need a ton of acquaintences- just a smaller group of great friends works for me. I have a weakness for fearless women with a bite to their attitude and sense of humor. When I say attitude I DON'T MEAN being rude, condescending, snide, reckless or aggressive toward others. INSTEAD, I DO MEAN women who aren't afraid to be themselves and say what they mean, and mean what they say. Women who don't apologize for their thoughts, beliefs and feelings. And, people who don't force themselves to be politically correct- instead value the benefit of laughter, and being able to laugh at themselves too. People who can be themselves without stifling anybody else. It would be nice to meet people who don't drink, or don't need to. (not vital, a good percentage of my friends do drink) I'm past the point where going to bars is a sole sense of entertainment, plus, I'm really not a big drinker. I don't mind when others drink, but I tend to not be too comfy in the crowd of people who go crazy with it.

I have many people who have influenced me in my life- most of whom are a part of my family. Bonnie Raitt is a musical influence, Natalie Goldberg is a hero of mine as a writer, I could go on and on.
