..Women, my CLOSEST friends, history, psychology, homeopathic remedies and therapy, raising awareness and funds for research to find a cure for Alzheimer's, writing, movies, sports. Most of the time you'll find me writing, listening to music, watching movies, reading books/sports news, hanging with friends, or whatever else catches my attention. I know, I'm very exciting. This game is absolutely bizarre. Makes me laugh. So I'm twisted.
People who are passionate, not neccessarily (actually, hopefully not) all the same things as me, just whatever it may be that drives them. A woman/person who can teach me something, and who can learn a thing or two from me maybe! :) People who are calm/gentle, down to earth, connected with themselves- loving and who have a sense of humor tend to get my attention. I can't stand negativity- I like to surround myself with people who want the best for themselves. Don't get me wrong, I can definitely be a cynic (especially politically) but I want the best out of life. Regardless of what hand life deals me, I want to get the most out of life as I possibly can, we only have one. Being around people who have no motivation, doesn't work for me.
I have NO ROOM IN MY LIFE for people who lie, cheat, who aren't loyal or trustworthy, who say one thing then do another, yellers, fighters etc. Just genuine people, with genuine values are those I'm interested to meet. I don't need a ton of acquaintences- just a smaller group of great friends works for me. I have a weakness for fearless women with a bite to their attitude and sense of humor. When I say attitude I DON'T MEAN being rude, condescending, snide, reckless or aggressive toward others. INSTEAD, I DO MEAN women who aren't afraid to be themselves and say what they mean, and mean what they say. Women who don't apologize for their thoughts, beliefs and feelings. And, people who don't force themselves to be politically correct- instead value the benefit of laughter, and being able to laugh at themselves too. People who can be themselves without stifling anybody else. It would be nice to meet people who don't drink, or don't need to. (not vital, a good percentage of my friends do drink) I'm past the point where going to bars is a sole sense of entertainment, plus, I'm really not a big drinker. I don't mind when others drink, but I tend to not be too comfy in the crowd of people who go crazy with it.

Tao Te Ching is my all-time favorite...I'm reading Bitch by Elizabeth Wurtzel (Prozac Nation author) about female "trouble makers" basically the strongest yet the most unknown/misunderstood figures in history. I tend to switch back and forth between different books.
I have many people who have influenced me in my life- most of whom are a part of my family. Bonnie Raitt is a musical influence, Natalie Goldberg is a hero of mine as a writer, I could go on and on. I've tried to make it known to those people who have meant the world to me. So you know who you are :)
