Willy Evans

Willy Evans has been playing music in the piedmont and western NC for about 25 years.He is largely influenced by blues and gospel artists and by the 60's R&B sounds that surrounded his teenaged years. Add to that the country influences from the music his father listened to and music that many of his friends play today and you have the consumate American roots musician.Willy's solo act includes blues, country, and bits from his "coffeehouse" days when he was younger. when playing with his trio or larger band You get hard driving guitar based rockin blues. On occasion he sits in with his "country" friends and he twangs with the best of them.
