Johnny Future 7 is a stream-of-consciousness musical comedy-fuled experiment in improvisation. The duo, consisting of Paul "C" (vocals/occasional keyboard) and Donavan Suitt (keyboards/guitar/production) is available for hire.
The debut self-titled release from the duo, Johnny Future 7 (1999/2005 Rural War Room Records) is a double-length album of songs, rants and stories from the unusual mind of a time-traveling space-cowboy with a rickety old space ship, no-good wife, foreigner girlfriend, short fuse and more-than-a-few opinions about his neighbors. Song ideas are not discussed or rehearsed. Nothing is a mistake. Everything is just part of the song.
The master recording for the debut album, Johnny Future 7 (1999/2005 RWRR) was made in 1999 in three short sessions. It then sat in a time capsule until the date specified on the opening cut - 2005. After it was uncovered, this one-take recording was compiled and released with very few edits.
Johnny Future 7 is a favorite of Mark Mothersbaugh (DEVO) and has received much airplay on the weekly show, Hour of Slack by Rev. Ivan Stang of The Church of the Subgenius. This futuristic product contains 33 tracks on Digital Vinyl CD with real grooves. The interior of the CD jewel case under the CD is made from silver space junk collected from space craft crash sites.
