"Where the fuck did my floor go?"

About Me

I'm from upstate NY and now live near Philly, but I have no idea how I got here. It's great though. I hold some unpopular opinions (I'm anti-organ transplant). Also I'm a chronic ass grabber (my own and others') and a vary bad speller (of words)."Ta mo bhriste tri thine Ta mo bhriste tri thine - 'My trousers are on fire.'You're a few bricks short of a load, aren't you? You're probably not allowed to use sharp objects and you should be locked in a rubber room. With Rubber rats. Rubber rats? I hate rubber rats. They drive me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a rubber room. With rubber rats. Rubber rats? I hate rubber rats... "- My scientifically determined Irish phrase equivalent.

My Interests

Manually cleaning the carpet, hand washing, yelling loudly. Serving our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Art, music, books, blah, blah.

I'd like to meet:

Mostly people I already know. Maybe some local people who would like to start a bowling league or some other organized excuse for regular binge drinking. Fig pickers. The morally flexible.

Music:

A lot, the details are tedious to type.

Movies:

My favorite movie is Jacob's Ladder and I enjoy many others also. Perhaps we can discuss them at length and how they are relevent to our own lives or shove sharp objects into our eyes instead. I guess movie absorbing is one of my favorite passtimes

Television:

I like most HBO series. Strangers with Candy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy, Lost, Wonder Showzin.

Books:

Anything by Chuck Palahuiak or Dave Sedaris. Jared Diamond is also genius. I've been reading a lot of non-fiction of late and highly recommend 'Stiff' by Mary Roach. It seems that, even as a corpse, you can do something valuable with yourself. For fiction I'm in a Vonnegut phase right now.

Heroes:

Super

My Blog

You don't post me blog spots anymore

The magic is not gone, not all the way.  I had a short (2 days I think) burst where I was going to blog every day but my discipline is for shit and I feel really boring lately.  The humidity...

Broad appeal, as in Ladies

It's not really hot, but humid.  What an odd sensation.  I wish I could wear shorts but have learned to live with short pants.  I guess I have a little English school boy in me (not lik...

On Monday a film crew from PBS was at the lab getting footage for some special featureing a scientist who we do sequencing for.  When I stepped up to help I thought they only wanted 'action' shot...

I'm curious about the number of hits my blog has gotten even though its been a while since I posted anything. Don't these people have jobs?  It nice to have the seemingstance that someone,  ...

Put a Leash on that Puppy

I'm all calm now but last night I had the biggest fit of rage I've experienced in a long time.  I was driving (a lot of the rage I've felt in my adult life seems to be while driving) home fr...

I Heart Vice

I know I'm delayed, as per usual, but the weekend was fantastic.  I think I indulged in about 4 of the 7 deadly sins (wrath is bad for the complextion).  It all starts with Friday, Cinco de ...

We will take your baby! and other misleads

According to an urgent email from the volunteer coordinator at the women's clinic, they are short on escorts for tommorow morning.  I'm on the fence about going.  I really want to help out, ...

Little Bad-Ass One Shoe

That's right, one shoe.  Does that disturb your suburan sensibilities?  Fuck you and your rules.  I know The Man sells them in pairs, but I'm done taking cues from him.  You can se...

The END in bender

I know better than this.  Why oh why do I stay up late drinking on a school night? (gin and tonics, bet you can't drink just one!) It made the relatively short walk to the train feel like the tra...

This bread smells like old people

It wasn't moldy, not yet, but definately on its way.  It gave off the same, sad odor of impending decay that can be picked up in any nursing home.  Maybe part of it is from those pale square...
