This page is in celebration of PINEHAUS, a fairly infamous house of particularly interesting folks in Raleigh, NC circa 1988-2001. It was a unique house, located in the middle of Pine Knoll apartment complex on Avent Ferry Rd., and was host to many, many, many huge parties.
These parties would sometimes have themes, such as the "Underwear-O-Rama", where patrons would only gain entry if they were wearing nothing but undergarments. PINEHAUS parties were like no other, offering interactive games, prizes for the winners, and small runs of commemorative T-shirts for sale to those who wanted to take home a souvenir.
The PINEHAUS nuclear family, sometimes known as The Pineboys, lived & played at the house for over 10 years. The last person in this circle of friends vacated the house in 2001. Were you there at any point to join in the fun?
Feel free to share survival stories, confessions, photos, etc.
