About me? I firmly believe that one is unable to get to know someone based solely off of how the person in question describes them self. This is because how a person describes them self is not necessarily how that person actually is, but in reality, how that person would like to be seen. These are two completely different ideas, and therefore, a person describing them self is not a legitimate means of getting to know them at all. Although, as a result of learning how a person would like to be viewed, we can then learn what kind of person they are, and in turn learn something much deeper about them than just what is on the surface. With that said, let me tell you a little about myself.
My name is Connor Jones; I am 19 years old, and currently enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising majoring in Interior Design/Architecture. I’m about six foot two inches, and weigh about one hundred and ninety pounds. I have light brown hair, and wear glasses or contacts, depending on how late I am for school that morning. Although I’m not partial to labels, I’m a Type B personality which, according to "Living Psychology" by Karen Huffman, means I have a “laid-back, calm, relaxed attitude toward life.†I’d say Karen has me pretty well figured out. I generally take life as it comes, and try not to worry too much about what is not consequential at the time. Although this is mostly true, it doesn’t mean that I don’t have long-term goals as well. I’m quite confident that if needed, I could type pages upon pages about myself, but who wants to talk about them self for that long?
