DJ Mash became heavily involved in music when he started to play the drums at age 14. After playing in bands at school Mash decided to take his love further choosing to study the drums and music full time for three years at age 19. "That's actually the time I got to DJing, I could already mix by then but that's when I first brought some turntables.""I got into Jungle when I heard Valley of the shadows, that one tune started it all for me."Mash promoted his first party at age 17, the headline DJ, Madcap went on to win the Movement/Technics DJ comp at Bar Rumba some years later. Mash continued promoting DnB events while studying but it was not until joining forces with Billy Disco and Sublime that things really took off, and Formula was born. "I'd known Billy for years just not through DJing, Billy and Sublime invited me to play on their show on www.ukrumble.com and that's when we started Formula."DJ Mash has played along side top Djs Andy C, Adam F, DJ Hype, J Majik, Randall, and DJ Marky to name a few.Mash now spends his time between Bangkok and Chiang Mai Thailand where he can take care of Formula's Thai side of business.
