About Me

I'm just an ordinary woman who's come to the realization that I'm now middle aged and did not get to have all the fun I wanted to in my twenties and thirties, which sucks. Since I don't have any kids, I'm free to do that now. I've recently rediscovered a love of music that had gotten lost in the everyday business of living my life. In the last year, I have met or gotten reaquainted with so many musicians who are unbelievably talented individuals. It's ignited a desire within me to learn how to sing, play the guitar, and don't laugh, but I'd like to try to learn how to play drums if only for the comical amusement of my friends. LOL. Since getting involved with the 10-Band Jam/Musician's Benefit Fund (MBF) Tour to benefit our friend David Williams, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2007, I've seen these musicians and their bands come together like never before to help a brother musician in his time of need. David passed away in May 2008, but the MBF sprang from his illness and his desire that other musicians who find themselves in a similar situation would also be helped. Thanks to the efforts of Mark "Marvelous Marv" Marvin and others, the MBF was founded. Some of the musicians who have donated their time and talents to support the effots of the MBF didn't even know David. They just wanted to help and be a part of what was happening in the local musical community. This has truly been an awesome experience!! Mere words cannot express what it has meant to me to be a part of what has been happening. If you haven't been to one of the Jams, try to catch one soon. It's the best time you'll ever have for $10!! And it's for a good cause...
