Richard Brown, Talent Coordinator & Producer for The Track Shack Recording Studio in Sacramento CA. One of The Larges Recording Studio in Northen Ca.Richard started playing guitar at the age of five by watching the Beatles and James Brown on “The Ed Sullivan Showâ€. He was convinced that he wanted to be a musician like Paul McCartney and James Brown. He states, “I was the only African American kid in the neighborhood who wanted to be like Paul from the Beatles.†Originally from Richmond CA, Richard now lives in Sacramento CA.Richard was taught how to play guitar by his Aunt Irene Combs, who also taught a host of cousins how to play and sing in church. Richard is from a very musical family that includes Gospel singer Dorothy Morrison, who was the lead vocalist on the classic gospel song Oh happy Day, that was recorded by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. Also he is the cousin of Guitarist, Bass player Levi Seacer Jr. from Prince and the NPG.At the age of fifteen, Richard picked up the Bass Guitar and the rest is history, He developed his funky style by learning songs from Sly and the family Stone, Larry Graham, Bootsy Collins, Stanley Clark, Lewis Johnson and Prince.Richard was blessed to have the opportunity to perform with the legendary Sheila E., Peter Michael Escovedo, Sheena Easton, Vickie Winans, the Gospel stage play “God is trying to tell you something,†“Somebody ought to tell God Thank you†with Vickie Winans, Yolanda Adams and David C. from the Temptationsâ€, the stage play Aint Misbehavin, GMWA Sacramento Metropolitan Choir, Eugene Cole and much more.Richard is also the Bass Player for Sacramento’s Funkiest Party Band Hip Service and plays bass for the Saint Paul Baptist Church in Sac Ca.In January 2007, Richard became a Talent Coordinator and Producer for TheTrackShack.com.
