You think you've heard metal? THINK AGAIN. Decaying Face Down formed roughly a year and a half ago, spawning from the members of Dead Set (Chad-Bass, Brendon-Drums) leaving and joining former Chisel Face member Justin (guitar). Chad started out on vocals, but was soon to leave to pursue other options in Myrtle Beach. Soon after his departure the then 2 piece picked up Miles (Vocals) and began the songwriting process. A couple of months later Chad returned to throw down some bass. After a 4 month break of no complete practices and some serious internal problems, D.F.D picked up Jordan Norman (Dead Set) as a second gutair player, and the lineup has stuck since.
Since the bands formation, they have played many different venues across the Carolinas and Virginia including Tremont Music Hall (charlotte), Jaxx (springfield), and The Money (rock hill) just to name a few. At every show, weather its in front of two people or two hundred; you can count on one of the best live shows around.
D.F.D's music is unlike anything you have ever heard. With Miles and his gut wrenching vocals that sound like the devil himself on the mic, Justin with his guitar riffs that cause mere mortals like yourself to kill over, Jordan with his fingers of fury, Chad along with his skull pounding bass lines that will leave you in a bloody pulp, and Brendon, who unleashes a percussive assault leaving no survivors, D.F.D is taking metal to a whole new level.
There is no band more deserving of national attention than D.F.D. They are a straight up, working class metal band aspiring to make the absolute best music they can, constantly pushing the envelope and progressing metal into an untamable beast.
