About Me

- Get Your Own

MyGen Profile Generator "Belfry Suicide's groove impacts the listener in the gut, grabs hold, and moves up from there. Once it moves up to your heart, it pulls out feelings of longing, sorrow and ambivalence, with its distant cries, desiring to be heard and held. But in the end, Belfry Suicide penetrates and lives in the listeners mind. With its insightful, imaginative sonic landscapes, it will get you thinking just when the rest of your body has been tricked into feeling relaxed and melancholic.
Stefanie Lamm, the heart and viscera of the music, personifies the very sounds of longing, pain, and transcendence with her dynamic mezzo. She sways from an angelic whisper to a deep growl, while expressing her intensely personal poetic lyrics. The other half of this duo is multi-instrumentalist Andrew Fietek. His inventive, distant guitar tones, and computerized sonic wizardry are but two of many indispensable components to Belfrys distinctive signature studio sound.
Together, Belfry Suicide creates a deep ambient texture that will hit hard in mind, heart and guts, leaving you somehow changed."
--Tori Brattle
Stefanie and Andrew met in Albuquerque, New Mexico in college as music majors, Andrew studying percussion, and Stefanie voice. Andrew was playing in Albuquerque bands GoMotorCar and 60ft. Queenie, and Stefanie was fronting the group Mother. Since the two musicians were both studying classical music by day and rocking out by night, they knew they were an excellent match for each other. The duo first got together at Andrew's home studio to compose and record "Been So," followed by "Through." As soon as these first two songs were finished, they knew they shared magic between them, and thus Belfry Suicide was born.
Now based in Falmouth, Massachusetts, they are currently working on finishing their debut full-length release and putting together their first-ever live band.
