Sounds Like: "What is this weird shit? I put it into my stereo and I thought aliens were trying to communicate with me. But that was only the beginning. From Here To Clare develops in to some sort of Hitchcockian snooping around music. I have to say I like that a lot. You half expect to turn round and see Cary Grant disguised as a tree with one hand in your underwear drawer. Anyway, turns out that it's a quite brilliant work of electro jazz, in the vein of Alabama 3, with a truly awesome drum solo. Perhaps that's to be expected from a band made up of two drummers.
Continuing on the cinematic theme, Fear Of A Flat Planet makes you feel like your in a detective flick. But a very weird one – Naked Lunch perhaps?
Elsewhere there's some exuberant thrash noise and a decent helping of space age synth which is enough to put any listener on edge. And the slow, lurching march of Amazing is full of latent menace. The multi-layered production gives the whole thing a dream-like quality that makes you wonder if Godzilla Black haven't just created a new genre of music – uneasy listening." So it starts off with burbling animal noises, builds into a Hitchcockian suspense scene, before pitching down into a rumbling surf riff, back into freakiness. Then it’s off again, rolling phasered drums around, strafing sound effects on a forced march towards genius." Brighton Source Magazine
