Paul Eric O’Jibway may have begun his life born to the Ojibway Nation, but he started his professional music career in 1979 born to Motor City soul. Over the next 10 years, Paul E.O. established himself as one of the top R&B club circuit artists in the Mid-West. An experienced performer and prolific writer, he sings with great stamina and plays a wide variety of instruments.
In 1989, Paul E.O. landed his first national tour with Mica Paris, a Jazz/R&B songstress from England. Touring with Ashford & Simpson and Simply Red, the Mica Paris stint included appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, Showtime at the Apollo and the Pat Sajak Show. In 1990, he toured with R&B vocalist B. Angie B. His travels with her included a national tour with singer Johnny Gill and concluded in the fall of 1991 with M.C. Hammer’s Western Canadian Tour. He spent the next two years in the creative trenches for artistic and song writing developement.
In 1994, Paul E.O. toured with Joe Cocker’s "Have A Little Faith" World Tour, which began in the U.S. with several nationally broadcast live television performances suce as the Today Show, David Letterman, Jay Leno and the closed circuit concert broadcast live from Woodstock. The Cocker tour took him through South Africa, Great Britain, France Germany and most of Europe. It was punctuated by several live for television concert performances, such as the Parisian late night show "Taratata".
Paul E.O. is a proficient multi-talented musician on both the saxophone and keyboards and display’s his talent in the Lansing and surrounding areas of Michigan.
During Paul E.O.’s experience with the Joe Cocker tour, he was able to unveil some of his original material to Cocker’s manager, Roger Davies, who strongly encouraged Paul to pursue a career as a solo R&B artist. Paul has just completed his first album entitled "Good For You" which is available NOW!!!
The CD is compiled of songs written by Paul E. O. with the help of friends and neighbors. All talented musicians.
