As Far As I can remember, BAD has been always attracted to the Rap Game.
Growing Up in the Hood, He was easily influenced by The ways of the streets.
Which led him to experience all of the elements of the Hip-Hop culture.
From Graffiti to Breakdancing & especially the clothing And the Music. He decided that this would be something that he wanted to part of for the rest of his life. But ultimately, His goal was To be a Engineer/Music Producer.
From the age of 16 up until now, BAD has wrote and produced in Hundreds of songs.
In the year 2000, BAD., decided to step his Game up and Start up A Company Called "$avLyf". BAD "says": I got the name from the word: Savage. Also a term in the street that means" to be Down for whatever". But i really liked the definition of the Word "Savage" in the Webster's Dictionary. It means to be: 1. wild; untamed; fierce. a man (or woman) of extreme. to be Ill tempered and merciless.
So i took the SAV for short from the word "SAVAGE" and added- life, But spelled it "LYF" to put a little twist on it; and that how "$AV LYF" was born.
I brang the Idea to my cousin and roomate at that time. He instantly wanted to be part of such a movement. So we both invested out hard earned dollars to get the company off the ground.
BAD, started off by designing Custom made pieces of clothing and selling them outta the trunk of his car.
By 2001, BAD & Co. had sold Hundreds & Hundreds of Shirts & Sweat suits for men and woman.They then later used some of the profits to Also Start Their first Music Label: $L. entertainment.
$L. ent. began with a 5 song demo. Which really had a great response and major support from the listeners. BAD, had then enlisted Two more family members And began the group Named :no other Than "$AV LYF" due to the fact that clothing line had been succesful. The album was released by the biggest Distribution label in the Bay: City hall Records. $avLyf went on to sell from California to Las Vegas ,Down South and to the East Coast.
Fast foward to 2007. Since having connects with some high powered individuals from The Bay Area to Kingston, Jamaica. BAD had decided to branch off and start his New Venture: 420 incoporated. With Partnership from Mystic Urchin Music; which manages some of the biggest names in the music Business. 420 inc. consist of $L Recordz, a transportation Company and A brand new clothing line in the works.
$L Recordz, will be set to release their first Compilation Album Titled: "420' Degreez , which will Distributed In The U.S. and over seas through Urban Life Distribution & Rap Bay digital Distribution . With The help from Friends, Factors and Major artist in the Game. This Top Knotch album will be In record stores All around the World 2007. AVAILABLE NOW
