Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after. -- Anne Morro

About Me

I am almost done attending Eastern Washington University as a major in saxophone performance. I live in a sweet apartment on the South Hill of Spokane with my good friend David "Fuzzy" Hough. He'll have to move out by the end of October though because Christina will move in when we are married. I serve our country as a flutist for the Air Force, and I'm a DJ for Jazz 89.5 on Sunday and Monday nights.I absolutely adore the outdoors, especially on mountains. I love old buildings, especially those that are very ornate, made of stone, or are more complex in design. Heaven on Earth to me is sitting in front of the warmth, glow, and crackle of a fire with my Love in my arms. Oh my, it won't get any better than that until I'm in heaven. I also enjoy a meaningful conversation in which the participant have no agenda but to have a meaningful conversation.I strive to make good music however I can, as well as other art, and I am in awe of all that God has created, it never ceases to keep me going. God has showed me what character can mean and I will always strive to achieve more of it, putting it into all I create.

My Interests

My favorite things to do: Make music (to jam is to be), be in the outdoors (the outer the better), orienteering/frizbee/badminton, create, read a book (preferably in the outdoors or by a cozy fire, or both, even better), a finely initiated pun is always excellent.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus. All those who love good music and good things.

Music:

Genres are not my forte (I won't bother to pardon that pun). The best description I have found for my kind of music is simply "good" music. My top two groups: Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Eileen Ivers (not necessarily in any order)

Movies:

My favorites... just a sec., I'm still thinking.

Television:

I'd much rather watch a movie or buy shows that I know I like. Cartoons are rad dude: Classic Fox cartoons like Spider man and X-Men, The Tick, Gargoyles, and more. Some classic Disney shows also: Ducktales, Talespin, Darkwing Duck. They don't make 'em like they used to though. I also just discovered Invader Zim, you should try it, it's delicious.

Books:

God - "The Bible," C.S. Lewis - "Chronicles of Narnia", C.S. Lewis - Space trilogy, John Steinbeck - "Travels With Charlie," John Ronald Ruel Tolkein - "The Lord o' the Rings"/"The Hobbit," "The National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Rocks and Minerals," Alexander Dumas - "The Count o' Monty Cristo,"

Heroes:

Jesus, martyr Stephen, good musicians/artists, Dad

A Bible analogy that ends with poop

We were talking about faith at the bible study Bekkah hosts on thursdays. Many scriptures (i.e. Galatians 5:22) consistantly put faith as a "fruit" of the spirit. This has always been apparent to me a...

A meaningful conversation

I was thinking about what goes on during a meaningful conversation. I love to have one, but in order to do so, participants in the conversation must be in it for the right reasons. They must have no a...

The view from here

Ok. Here's something I sometimes like to talk about because it makes me think about it. I don't think I'm the only one who realizes things about their thoughts when they say it (or I guess type it) o...

Hey, check this out! I'm writing a 'blog.' I feel so special now, though, I'm curious. Is the term 'blog' actually derived from any existing thing. In other words, I'm thinking it was made up, though ...
