Sunshine State of Mind

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

We are Miami Beach locals who were RAISED in Miami Beach.  It's been tough to watch the changes throughout the years, because although our economy has boomed, we've also had to witness our city become a playground for some transients who don't really care about Miami except to come party, trash it and leave it. THAT USED TO BE OUR PLAYGROUND COJONES!  Thus, this page is dedicated to all the people that grew up in Miami in the 80's (and before), to everyone that has lived here since the 90's, to ALL Miami locals who have STUCK IT OUT and continue to give this city its old school tropical flavor, to all Miami natives who have moved away but continue to cherish and love Miami from afar, to all Sunshine State residents who love our state, to all people who recognize and appreciate the great things that the Banana Republic of Miami has to offer and to all newcomers who cherish Miami, respect it, and don't trash it- not even with their mouths. To all people who RESPECT, cherish and thrive to continue making Miami beautiful. TO ALL PEOPLE THAT RESPECT THE LOCALS.    DEDICATED TO ALL TRUE MIAMI LOCALS/NATIVES WHO ARE KEEPIN IT REAL FOR REAL, AND NOT JUST "KEEPING IT REAL" ON A TRENDY URBAN OUTFITTERS T-SHIRT.THE REAL MIAMI NATIVE DOESN'T DISS OR LOOK DOWN ON ANYBODY.  THEY ARE NOT SHALLOW OR PLASTIC.  AND IF YOU'RE TURNED AWAY AT THE DOOR OF SOME FANCY SOUTH BEACH CLUB AND THEY DENY YOUR ENTRANCE, THEN TURN AWAY PEOPLE, BC YOU DON'T WANT TO BE THERE ANYWAY.  YOU'LL JUST BE SURROUNDED BY THE MIAMI-WANNA BE'S WHO THINK IT'S COOL TO WORK OUT WEARING SUNGLASSES AND ACTING SNOBBY & PRETENTIOUS.  YOU COME FROM THE OLD SCHOOL, ALWAYS REPRESENTING THE MIAMI OF THE OLD DAYS, THE RAW MIAMI OF THE 80'S, WHERE PARKING WAS FREE & TRAFFIC WASN'T SO BAD IN RETROSPECT.  WHEN LIVING HERE WAS CHEAP & UNCOMPLICATED. DON'T LET THOSE DAYS FADE AWAY!  THIS IS A SHOUT-OUT TO ALL SO. FL NATIVES, WHETHER YOU WENT TO BEACH HIGH, HIALEAH HIGH, MIAMI HIGH, EDISON, COLUMBUS, GABLES, S.W., KILLIAN, MIAMI COUNTRY DAY, NMB, SOUTHRIDGE, SUNSET, CAROL CITY, HML, MIAMI SPRINGS, PALMETTO, AMERICAN, DOUGLAS MC ARTHUR, MIAMI CENTRAL, JACKSON, NORLAND, NORTHWESTERN, G. HOLMES BRADDOCK, NO. MIA., BELEN, ST. BRENDAN'S, LOURDES, LINCOLN MARTI, MIAMI COUNTRY DAY, CURLEY, RANSOM, OR HEBREW ACADEMY. OH & BTW, DON'T LET NO OUT-OF-STATE MOEFOE CUT YOU OFF IN TRAFFIC!!!  RESPECT THE LOCALS!"What more can I say, I wouldn't be here today, if the old school didn't pave the way."  - 2Pac ShakurGOLDEN RULE: RESPECT THE LOCALS. ESPECIALLY IN ROAD-RAGE- MIAMI TRAFFIC. AND THAT RULE APPLIES IN EVERY STATE, NOT JUST HERE. IF YOU HAVE FL. PLATES, DON'T GO CUTTING OFF THE LOCALS IN GEORGIA (OR WHATEVER OTHER STATE YOU'RE AT) OR BE GIVING THEM THE FINGER! RESPECT!
